AWH Closing Down and Homepage injecting viruses to computers.

Hey all - Sorry to post this - but there has been no official word from anyone over at AWH and I decided not to say anything until now cause I thought that my AM would make an announcement. However it appears my AM is now no longer employed with AWH thus I feel Its required everyone knows whats up.

AWH is no longer in business - another MERGE failure and its a shame since I really liked working with Gemma and team. I take it from what i have been told things are difficult and the AMs were put in a hard position - so I will take the responsibility and inform the public and the GPWA - i would request their sponsorship be revoked since they are no longer in operation.

They have no clue if players will be tagged to another program or not - for all we know affiliates may lose all players from this MERGE site yet again.

Also to note - there is a very serious security breach on their homepage which has ruined my machine. As i was checking yesterday to see if they were still online I got to their homepage only to notice a TROJAN HIJACKER VIRUS(whatever it was) got installed on my computer. Now my Virus protection detected it yet it worked around my anti virus program in installed itself in my root and my computer was destroyed. I lost tons of stuff.

I was required to system restore, and purchase Malwarebytes and get a tool to remove this terrible virus which is seriously going to infect tons of people.

It installs a program "System Sphere 2012" but can also mask itself as your virus protection and is a keylogger and hijacks your computer.

It will remove your screen savers, deactivate your antivirus protection and enable you to have no control over your system. It also can cause from what i saw remote access.

TWO POINTS HERE TO CONSIDER

1. AWH is no longer in business - no AMS work there anymore and no one has communicated this to GPWA - however they did email affiliates or at least myself and some others.

2. Their site is infected the public with viruses!

I know the GPWA does not like to remove sponsorship from Platinum Sponsors - but I feel I needed to help protect the commmunity and the public...

Its a classic MERGE OPERATION FAILURE but also they are injecting viruses on machines and this is really bad. I lost almost everything - I lost time, money, and my computer was compromised.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VISIT THEIR SITE (unless really protected)

If you do at least install Malwarebytes first!!!!! Beware!! I have installed and bought this program and when i installed and visited their site it detected it right away and removed it from my system not allowing me to be attacked again.

I have verified this twice and its a serious threat to anyone.

Not to mention any affiliates as of today may lose all their players and who knows the future if this failed Merge program yet again.

I will say this - GEMMA has been totally upfront on all this and i totally respect her and what she has done. She has done everything shoe could and I know she was i a hard position in dealing with their closure. SHe has been a great AM since day one and she did her job perfectly!!

Please note- her email access may no longer work and no one at AWH seems to be employed anymore. The site i was told will just go offline any day now!!

Just doing my part to help protect everyone as always!!

Although we don't work with them it is appreciated to let affiliates know and affiliates should have been notified.

yeah i have removed them from most sites.... all day working on that.. hopefully not to many people get hurt from their viruses on their site.
Its one thing to close down - that happens but when viruses are dished out to the public its very serious.. I was lucky only lost little money as i had to buy a program to remove their virus.. but who knows how many players have had their computers destroyed..

Hopefully something can be done here.

Yeah i think what has happened is - since they are closing down no one works there anymore. Everyone is gone. Basically left the building. So no one can fix this issue and no one can be contacted.. It was like an overnight shut down.

The viruses were the real issue for me. I did not mind so much they shut down -although i really like working with Gemma. She was top notch in my book. She was a great AM and did all she could. So no fault there.

Its to bad well most likely lose all our tracked players - hundreds of them

but the viruses!!! OMG

If you do visit their homepage please add malwarebytes first... this virus will destroy any computer.

I do not understand that one does not write the affiliates!

If they suddenly went bust it could be a case of staff turning up and finding the building locked and them all out of jobs, would explain the no contact.

I have to agree, if they were so "up front" about the problems then the affiliates should have been notified in advance.

I missed the whole advice warning bit. In which case it makes no sense that a notice wasn't sent out.

They did send me a notice. Gemma did. Not sure of the rest. However i did not get this Poker Nordica one. Id Poker Nordica worth looking into?
I mean i think i have about 1000 players or so and if it means I can make some scratch I can open an affiliate account - but will not apply them to my sites. Well i still see some stats for AWH - i have yet to complete removal as it takes so much time..

I think by rights they should automatically create affiliates new accounts so they can make earnings off existing base. Mine you I had eough of MERGE TRASH - I do not plan to add anymore new ones unless they pay me handsomely upfront.

Just opened the AWH poker client and it updated to PokerNordica. I see my balance on the player side has been migrated over. Now I have 2 Nordica programs on the pooter, gotta figure wich one to delete...

So two things here.

1. I think its safe to say AWH Poker should be removed from the GPWA sponsorship? I mean the company went busto. No longer in business. Or is there some contract term stating they must stay on here even if shut down as a company and non responsive.

2. They have injected viruses to peoples computers and a serious amount of people have been attacked including myself. I lost all kinds of data and so much time and money over that attack. My computer was over powered by it and I am still monitoring the damage created.

This is why i cannot understand why they still remain here? I mean its inviting more people to have their computers destroyed. Each day they are here more people like me become victims of viruses.

Note: Google has now issues a warning on the index warning people their site is giving viruses!! Awesome of Google!!!! great finally!!

Now 3rd!! I know Poker Nordica has taken over and have all our players. What pisses me off as a player they have sent me an email asking me to enjoy their new site and AWH is shut down... great awesome...

But what about all my 100s of players I lost as an affiliate? What happens to them? You mean to tell me they are not migrated? We simple say whatever we lose all those?

If this is the case I also consider Poker Nordica ROGUE because really they should take on the affiliates as well - its not right to take over a company minus the affiliates..

When will these MERGE outfits learn - so far Merge sites have really hurt this poker industry from day one - for me it all started with the Big Daddy scam artist Craig and the whole future bet scandal and his shamefulness and disgusting business ethic. We have scene so many Merge operators come and go!!!!

I urge any affiliate if your new to the poker industry be warned about MERGE poker skins - you cannot trust any of them - to many have closed shop to screw the affiliates. I do not care what Merge room is still with us no one is to be trusted coming from Merge.

A far a i am concerned Merge allows this to happen and never steps in to protect affiliates - what a disgraceful organization! **** all over the poker industry!!!

Anyways As far as i am concerned unless Poker Nordica takes on the affiliates they are just as bad and worse then the overnight shut down...

As far as I am concerned Merge can kiss my axx. So sick of the way they allow their operators to go about doing business. As long as they make their money they don't give a dam about the rest of us who put them where they are today!!
