Default Beware: Wheap Marketing and Julian Geert Hofstra

Over the last few weeks we were contacted by Julian Hofstra of Wheap Marketing for a CPM email campaign. A price was agreed and paid after finding LinkedIn connection and being shown a very well known affiliate programme statement for June-July which had 108 FTDs in the period. Nothing was sent out and we were then told an extra €200 was needed before it could be sent. Reluctantly this was paid. Again nothing was sent out and further funds requested as they had forgotten to include part of their costs. It was then agreed that 50% of the emails would be sent out and further funds would be paid if successful as per the guarantee they agreed upon (100K emails and minimum 35 new depositing players or full refund). It is now 10 days after the original deal was agreed and a week after the original emails should have gone out. Nothing has happened although they have said on three occasions that the emails have been sent. Our point of contact is Julian who with no notice visited us in Cyprus, it was then we found out he is only 16 years old! I do not believe he is working alone. I have spoken to the well known affiliate programme manager mentioned at the beginning and he tells me that they DID some business with these people but their Netherlands Affiliate Manager did some investigation into Wheap Marketing, which has offices there, and found it to be someone they did not want to do business with so this relationship was ended immediately. I would strongly recommend that no payments are made to these people unless they do the work first and you get the results they guarantee. They cannot be relied upon and I would recommend you research the business record in Holland to get a better background to these people before doing any business with them

Thanks Miles. I had read your posts on this but no one said on it that they had suffered loss or that they had not delivered. This is both and I wanted to make sure that an actual warning had gone out. I will post in future in the affiliate managers forum as well as here as I do want my affiliates to be aware of people like this in our business and they might also get caught.

    Hi,
He is a wellknown scum in the Netherlands. Just type his name in Google and you will find out why.
And for someone that age............ Not a good prospect for the future.
Hope other casinos don't trap in his scum.
