Question Which city would you like to be the next AAC conference in?

    Hi everybody

iGB is sending surveys about the city which would possibly replace Amsterdam, which means that next year (or 2, since iGB chooses city for at least 2 years) most probably spring iGB conference will be organised in another city!

Which one would you like and why? (To keep Amsterdam is also included).

I'd prefer it go elsewhere. This is something I wrote in the survey, but we come from Oz so it would be nice to see a different place every now and then when we are flying over 24 hours to get there and are on the plane longer than in the city. I'd be inclined to stay a few extra days if it was somewhere I'd never been before.

I suggested somewhere in Eastern Europe (back to Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania), or even Malta. Malta would be a great location IMO. I realise they like to choose somewhere with a good flight hub but we have London which is central. I want to see somewhere new. I don't smoke weed so Amsterdam doesn't appeal to me that much when I have been there 6 times already. Besides, if that's the only reason people want to go there, surely they can just smoke at home?

    LOL

East Europe hm hm and not Belgrade? I'm joking - no thanks, I'd like to travel :P
I saw some lovely pics from a couple of industry people on Facebook, taken in Dubrovnik. Don't know what was occasion, but I wished I was there immediately. So maybe there would be nice speaking of Eastern Europe

I'll chime in here and say Poznan, Poland. Massive trade centre, cool city and I live there! I could show anyone and everyone around and organize some pretty good parties! Plus it's cheap as chips here!

Europe is a bit of an online gambling wasteland at the moment with so many big markets like the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey and Portugal so restricted as to who can offer what.

Perhaps something in one of the Scandi-countries as they are more open?
Denmark (Cophenhagen) or Sweden (Stockholm) would be interesting.

Or how about something in the Southern Hemisphere to actually provide a geographical spread?

Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpar are all big cities but perhaps they are weird with their gambling restrictions despite the vast "underground" cash betting industry that they have.

That probably leaves Australia (Sydney / Melbourne), Argentina (Buenos Aires) or perhaps Japan (Tokyo) as options.

This is what I voted for in the survey and explained as more logical and innovative choice

Great ideas with Southern Hemisphere, should have vote for something like that, I thought only Europe is considered

I wouldn't mind it being in Malta either maybe an ice chnage but i do enjoy Amsterdam cant lie Scandi countries also a good idea but expensive i believe in South Africa your $ and Euros would get you unbelievable value though .

I voted Budapest and Prague, if the conference was out of Europe then I'd go with Oz or SA.

Madrid, it's pretty much a centre point but also weather is good and cost is much lower than most major capital cities though I suppose the most logical option is where the majority of affiliates are based? Does anyone have those numbers?

I would prefer Bucharest or Madrid. The only "con" is that both countries have a quite restricted gambling law. Scandinavia is more open, but are also more costful places and personally I find Scandinavia way more boring than East or Southern Europe. With London and Berlin there are also already two conferences not so far from Scandinavia.

Most practical is perhaps Malta. So, my opinion:

    1. Bucharest: gambling is legal, great city and Romania is a great country. It's also not expensive.
    2. Madrid: same thing as above + good weather.
    3. Lima, Peru: Great city, a lot of casinos, cheap, great for party and it seems to be the hub in South America
    4. Malta: the most practical.

Send it to Australia so that it can remain AAC - less cost in changing the marketing materials.

As I'm based in the UK I'd like a change from Europe.

I already go to Vegas in September, so a trip to Australia, South Africa, Costa Rica or somewhere in Asia would get my vote.

Spent a lot of time in Prague so it would get my vote. It's a great place to visit too.

    Failing that Bucharest or Budapest.
