Default Crappy Day Online Gambling News: APCW Perspectives for 11 March, 2016

Since these are such colorful conversation starters lately, I made another:

Is poker a skillful game of luck? Or a lucky game of skill?
The difference really does matter when it comes to gambling regulation.
This week the Dutch weigh in on the topic.
Also, week look at the first US State to legalize fantasy sports
and other stories of interest to the i-gaming professional.

    POKER :
Trying to use semantics about whether it's a "lucky game of skill" or "skilled game of luck" is not going to go very far.
Undoubtedly, there are elements of both luck and skill in the game - after all it's a prime gambling vehicle.

    DFS :
Interesting that your short article points out the $50K registration fee to offer DFS in Virginia.
It's almost as if they rushed the registration just to tax the fees and taxes? Nah ....

I don't really care either way. My personal feeling is poker is more about luck that skill. My proof? As yourself this: Would you rather be the BEST player in the world or the LUCKIEST? I will take luck all day every day...

But for our purposes, it matters when it comes to how some governments think of regulating it.

Just a way of putting personal interests in an acceptable way for the public.

Personally I think poker is way overhyped and does not involve more skill than backgammon, for example. I reckon sports betting involves much more skill than poker, but I may be biased here - and that`s not the issue raised in the article anyway.

Any game involving skills usually also involving some luck, I think almost any game (even box games for children)
are involving luck, is this means any game is a game of "luck"... well i dont think so.

As always great video JT .. well.. considering the crappy day you had

I do believe that there is 100% an element of skill involved in Poker for sure but i have seen some terrible players beat some really good ones because the River card turned in their favor so luck is also involved no doubt .. Great Video as usual
