Does not having a "Accept Cookies" Banner hurt your SEO?
What is your experience with having a cookie banner at your sites?
I know having a "Cookie Policy" like page is somewhat needed, but what about a popup when you first visit the website?
Let me know your thoughts on Cookie Banners
Cheers!

No, absolutely not. I don't see how it would have any effect whatsoever.

As always, there wouldn't be a 100% accurate answer, but if you dive deeper into the actual question perhaps that may help.
Having a cookie policy makes sense for a number of different reasons. Having one is definitely better than not having one as it conveys some potentially useful information for the users - therefore, it is reasonable to think that it may be beneficial to SEO.
Having a consent banner, it doesn't provide any additional information and doesn't answer any questions from the user. Nonetheless, there are certain GEOs where having one is a requirement. Having that in mind, I would say, if you are in a GEO where having a cookie banner is a requirement and / or most of your competitors have it - do add it. If you don't need it and your successful competitors don't have one - don't add it.
