I am also posting this on the Affiliate Guard Dog, PAL and the Affiliate Business Forum. I hope you don't mind but I feel it is important for affiliates to know what the people behind a program are actually like.

EuroPartners nee CasinoPartners over the last several years have spammed me many many times, asking me to consider promoting them and offering a moon on a stick to do so. It got to the stage that in 2007 I actually got Playtech involved to ask them to stop. Anyhow, recently after hearing nothing, I have now been subjected to unsolicited phone calls from them to my office phone.

I am guessing they got the number from a whois record from one of my domains. Regardless of whether I should have it private or not is irrelevant. I did not give them permission to cold call me period.

Anyhow I have mentioned this on my forum and today one of the affiliate managers who mailed me signed up. You really need to see for yourself how he conducts himself.

Thought it was bad but not this severe. Wow the arrogance, who are they used car salesman? Predatory IMO just a sec I have some material on them.

Hey Euro why not rid yourself of some blackhat affiliates you can start here. This may keep you occupied enough so you don't have to bother webzcas daily.

I am a bit nervous of responding here actually as i may be accused of being skitzo, be assured i am not, but i see wrongs on both sides to be honest.

I am no fan of europartners because of repeated emails albeit in the past now and because of their tendency to open up a dialogue based on advertising and then to swing it over to CPA deals etc, i found that misleading.

I did read the whole thread and saw how it turned out in the end and if i a real honest i felt some of the attacks on Berdman were unwarranted

I read your explanation webzcas on why you named and shamed him, i thought that was wrong.

I also thought it was wrong the implied threats of violence towards him and that it was acceptable behaviour even after he came on the site and explained he did not appreciate that, yes one person did give an apology and said it was a joke and thats how i saw it also but nevertheless you as the webmaster should have said something in relation to that.

Also Berdman did follow your specific guidelines in contacting you and was slaughtered for it.

You could have blacked out his name, you could have explained that the threats of violence were nothing more than a joke and you could have explained that you were refering to Europartners and not him personally earlier than what you did, but you did not.

I am sorry webzcas but i do not think you behaved above reproach yourself.

Europartners for their part only have themselves to blame for these sorts of situations, they can hardly expect webmasters to remain patient when employee after employee contacts a webmaster in this case webzcas by email, by phone over a period of years.

It is no surprise to me that webzcas reacted the way he did and berdmen must bare some of that responsibility for working for a company like europartners that undertake these methods of promotion/spam

If Berdman has not been on the receiving end of a bollocking and public outing before then i can only assume that he is new to the job because Europartners are flamed repeatadly.

Also it must be said that Berdman did not act as a responsible affiliate manager either, with some skill he could have handled this situation much better rather than trying to answer every single post with venomous responses.

He could have explained his position very early on and apologised for his companies methods, explained that he did not operate that way personally and made a better effort to make sure webzcas was not spammed or harrased any further.

If he would have shown his own ethics and methods to be of a higher standard he may well have won over some other converts, he did not he acted unprofessionally and thus the thread exploded.

I do see rights and wrongs from both sides but do understand that patience has worn itself out were europartners are concerned and that emotions play a factor after many years of harrasment.

And so we are all aware Europartners are one of those programs that will be part of the much vaunted new project known as GAP, just another reason to oppose this folly.

There was a lot of reading and I must have missed the threats of violence. I did see an apology for it so it must be there somewhere.

I don't think Webzcas over reacted if this is what it takes after years of this to get it to stop. Even gone as far as to report to Playtech. What does it take for this company to stop? Apparently this.

Not sure I buy that the phone number was researched from whois. For years they have been going to Webz whois? But thats JMO.

But for EP's actions, we wouldnt be here. Perhaps a Monday morning staff meeting hashing out a 'do not call' list. It is a serious issue. Can you imagine if every online program and service started searching our whois and cold called us all?

We are protected in the real world and have the option to opt out of these calls by law. If our request is ignored, we have the right to file a complaint.

I started to read the thread and as soon as i saw threats of violence i lost all interest!

Maybe i am a little unfair calling what look like "implied threats of violence" threats of violence!

However, this is not the way to do business.

Please note, i am not taking sides but i think that we should be all be able to conduct business in a civilised manner and not be subject to any manner of threats or abuse for doing so.

This is not a third hand knock at you Webzcas btw. If this is how strongly you feel about the contact made then these people should simply back off and leave you alone.

Yeah i agree with Chalkie

I am not having a dig at webzcas at all and dont want to give that impression, if i did i apologise

And i know Europartners can be a pain in the ass and like i said earlier i can understand the frustration etc

But with sharp words, the truth and the moral high ground you can win any arguement.

Michael and J Todd proved that in the exposure of CAP, they never resorted to implied threats, name calling, just the truth and well put together arguements.

IMO webzcas has every right to be pissed off! And if it were happening to you, year after year you would have the same right too. One would think we would rally around the cause instead of the issue. The cause being Euro Partners failure to leave this webzcas alone. An affiliate and colleague we should lend our support to.

Trust me there will be day when someone is screaming on the help line. Just prey someone's picks up.

Good thread IMO because we have to know or forever be blind folded.

Webzcas does have my support that any affiliate program should leave him alone at his request, if you read my first post on this you will see i state that clearly.

But i am not in to implied threats of violence or abuse and so forth and if that means that when the day comes and i need help that none is forthcoming then so be it.

In fact i would not want anyone helping me that resorts to those form of tactics as i have always felt that if anything those sort of tactics actually get the opposite response that you desire.

And finally i am not sure i like the premise that unless i am willing to support these sort of tactics that i will find that when the day comes and i am screaming on the helpline that i have to pray that help comes with the implication that it wont.

I have my methods of conducting business and will stick to them.

Both Kasino King and PPW did not threaten physical abuse to anyone. Indeed PPW's comment had lol after it. Therefore I felt there was no need to step in. Also I am a great believer in not editing or deleting posts unless it warrants it - ie spam. Furthermore, I know PPW very well, after all I did actually give him a job in the IT Department with Ladbrokes in Gibraltar several years ago.

However, if anyone did indeed believe PPW who incidentally publically apologised later in the thread regarding his comments being possibly taking seriously, than I am truely sorry.

Anyhow to underail this thread and get it back on track. I just thought you would all like to know, that EuroPartners Media Buying Arm have been in touch with me today. That's right Traffic Sales are now on the case, spamming me to see if I will promote Europartners casinos.

As for naming the EuroPartners manager that emailed me last week. Well I got the email no more than 5 minutes after his colleague phoned me. I am sorry, but if you keep on spamming me, I will name and shame you.

Regards the Traffic Sales Media Buyer - I have pointed her in the direction of my thread on my forum and explained to her I cannot and will not promote her company.

Their Loss!

But if they continue to spam, expect to be named and this thread resurrected.
