    Default Geolocation in practice

I am thinking about implementing geolocation on the site.

And exactly I mean hide/show section/tables/promotions etc depending on the country. That is, simply bookmaker/casino X visible for example in UK and not visible in Russia, while bookmaker Y vice versa(example)

Currently, in some tables I simply have a drop-down list with the country restrictions of a given site.

It is known that without performing tests one can make guesses and each site is different and it can work differently. But I wanted to know the opinions of people who have implemented this type of hide/show action but better to bypass country restrictions, show more customized listings for visitors, etc.
Have you noticed positive effects of this type of geolocation at your site?

I think this works really well if you have a lot of visitors from different countries, and if you keep the loading speed fast!

Doesnt work so well if you're using Caching. You need to find a way to not cache the pages you Geotarget. If you have a fast loading site and don't use caching there's no problem.

From experience I get better conversions by showing country specfic brands, but do have problems as i cache so sometimes the wrong brands are shown.

I use geolocation everywhere, I wrote the script myself.
Caching is a problem especially with Wordpress, but I don't use WP anymore.

If your WP site loads fast without cache, you can safely use geolocation. I remember there was also a WP geolocation plugin which can work with cache, but I forgot the name of it.

Positive effects are obvious, you can target a wider audience and diversify the bookies.

If you use cache, it will give you constant headaches, also it will limit the speed your page loads higher, unless you are getting massive traffic not sure it's worthwhile

I've seen it work wonders for engagement and conversion rates. Just ensure you test thoroughly to account for any quirks specific to your site.
