Default The Heart Attack Episode: APCW Perspectives Weekly 23 July 2012

Rumor has it that J Todd is recovering from a heart attack. Could the online gambling news be that exciting? Maybe it was one too many bacon sandwiches. We also have stories from the horse racing industry, rumors about poker legislation, and another sentence in a Black Friday case.

Stop eating crappy meat (preferably can ALL the meat), and the tobacco speaks for itself.

Looking remarkably chipper in the video - glad you're back on your feet!

You've also made me realise that I should probably switch the breakfast bacon sandwich for granola and fruit...

JT! So happy to see you back on your feet and full of life as usual! Good stuff with the lifestyle change- ask anyone in this office (or the Casino City office) about my eating habits- I consume an absurd amount of raw fruit and veggies each day and its the best. You'll get used to it, honestly- you won't even want to eat the crap anymore because the good stuff makes you feel so good!! Love ya- becks

Great to see you've recovered so fast! And thanks for the video even at what must be a bit a crazy time for you. You've inspired me, at least for this evening. Going for a run now and then a salad for dinner. And I may try to keep it up tomorrow too All the best with the lifestyle change; you're right, it's hard work but so worth it.

Thank you, everyone. I do feel ok mentally... dunno if that's a good thing or a bad one!

The hard part has been keeping me energy up. Slowly I will get there... a little better each day. Cardio rehab to get under way in a couple of weeks... so that should be fun.

I hope I can get used to this new diet... but it's really too much to make the full change immediately. Got a salt substitute and some Mrs Dash yesterday. Hurray.

You know you've lost all of your manhood when seasoning your food starts with "Mrs".

whenever you get a taste for it, have a look at the image above, and the need for bacon will disappear in no time.. at least I hope so.

I am glad I never discovered Baconaise... otherwise I may have had the heart attack at 35!

It's not easy to eat healthy, for sure. I respect the vegan choice, but if I could eat whatever I wanted I would be a meatetarian , to be honest! LOL! I just don't feel like it's a meal without meat. Maybe in time my pallet will adjust. But just like people trying to stop smoking, I gotta step down gradually.

Maybe a bacon patch... like a nicotine patch...

not easy at all actually. there's a good quote I like that helps me through hardships in life and goes "I didn't say it's going to be easy, I just said it's going to be worth it." I use it for other hardships as well not only with my eating habits.. but yeah
I actually turned Vegan all together once I made the decision.. wasn't gradually.. but that's just me I'm not looking to turn anyone Vegan I don't think it's my role to do so but if you're interested and need any help with becoming vegetarian or vegan I can try to help. feel free to PM me if you like.
    cheers!

Speaking as a former meat eater - and I daresay all others will say likewise - like any habit, it just needs breaking. For me it was dead easy. Establish the new habit and you're done. We're naturally omnivores and don't need meat, anyway. There are, of course, other arguments outside the pure health-related ones.
