Red face Leopold's unexpected Term Check

    Leopold's unexpected Term Check

    Important Term Change!

I had a live chat on the affiliate sign-up with Bitzstarz some minutes ago.

To ask for the terms and condition page.

Here original conversation from my chat with Bitstarz Affiliates:

Visitor [...] can you please give me the link to your affiliate terms and conditions [...]

    Chris https://www.bitstarz.com/affiliate-program

Visitor: I want the page with the terms and conditions, not the sign-up page.

Visitor: On that website I am now, and there are no terms and conditions.

Chris: theres no set in stone terms, there are different affiliate terms and deals depending on what is worked out with your affiliate manager

Chris: so read that page carefully to see how you can become one firstly

Visitor So you have no fixed terms and conditions that are valid for every webmaster?

Chris: there are different deals for affiliates

Chris: if you become one you can review these with the affiliate manager

Chris: each deal with have different rules etc

Chris: what exactly do you want to know?

Chris: what are you hoping to get in terms of information>?

Visitor So that I don't get it wrong: You have no general terms and conditions. Is this right?

    Chris: https://www.bitstarz.com/affiliate-p...rms-conditions

    Chris: you can read this

    Visitor: Thank you.

Chris: welcome, have a great day

After the chat ends, here the closing credits of Bitstarz Affiliates:

O.k., I tried it sober yesterday, but obviously one must say it straight after such a reply:

    "What is the issue exactly?"

The "issue" is, that you obviously didn't read my post or just do not understand the "issue", because this kind of reply is as unprofessional as that live chat failure by "Chris" from yesterday.

The "issue" is, that you obviously don't understand, that terms are not a joke unless someone does not care about laws and not about the principles of a transparent and serious partnership contract in business, regardless which business.

So the "issue" is that you have an unfair quota in your terms, which was not declared here on GPWA overview to make some extra bucks at the expense of very small webmasters, and from a legal view it's completely irrelevant, if you are using that quota all the time or not, because it's written in the terms and so valid at any time if your company has the desire to use it.

The overview of your program with respect to that activity quota have been updated now: www.active-income.com/affiliate-program/bitstarz-affiliates

There is nothing wrong with it, because GPWA has to provide correct data, and if there is a possibly feud in the future between you and an affiliate due to that quota, no one should blame GPWA for proving false data, that your program is allegedly a program without a quota, which can end in a public relation disaster also for GPWA without any wrongdoing.

And for me it's complete irrelevant, if 80+% of all programs in this industry are acting like a cheap fairground boxing booth operator in the very last village of nowhere, where the education and professionalism level is almost at Zero. I expect in this industry the highest education and professionalism standard, because it's about money and not about crochet, right?!

Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Sidenote to the wonderful females in the audience: I really have nothing against crochet! On the contrary. On a regular base I am buying small crochet mouses from Ebay, handmade by a talented housewife, filled with valerian or catmint for my Tomcat, because he loves them so much. Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

So, to continue with the "issue" ...

The "issue" is, that if I contact the live chat from a professional working company, a bank, a supermarket, even the local striptease bar or an MLM company, then I can expect at least a minimum of seriousness and professionalism and not that total communication disaster from yesterday.

And if someone quasi refuses to show me a simple link with the terms or is incapable to provide a real support aside cheap tout spells, I have heard thousand times already before, then it's not my problem as a possible business partner, if this person is either an anonymous underpaid "agent" without any knowledge about anything or an incapable employee of the program.

And a company, which will demonstrate volume, strength and especially financial health to impress and so to encourage also people like me, who after a long life particular values on integrity and professionalism, such a company would never beg for a tip like a bellboy in the live chat. This is just hilarious.

So, now you know, what the "issues" are in my opinion.

If you would have read my sober post serious and with intellect and replied more seriously, then there would be no need for this more straight one.

A last advice from a person, who had several small but successful companies in his life with educated employees and a fantastic customer service, from a person, who never demanded anything from his employees which he did not provide and embodied himself:

An oversized mega banner in the footer is not a key for a successful message in the long run.

Believe me: Sometimes less is more.
    This is not an "issue".
It's an old public relation fallacy, but worth to give you an advice, well meant.

    Hi Leopold,

I meant no disrespect with my last message, I was just reaching out to get a clearer idea of the issue.

If you have any questions about the affiliate programme you can address them to me.

We have implemented certain policies in order to safeguard from fraudulent behaviour. The 3 player minimum is a quota for first payment only! once this has been reached payments are issued by the 5th of every month.

These are our general Affiliate Terms & Conditions - https://www.bitstarz.com/affiliate-p...rms-conditions

If you would like to discuss further please feel free to contact me.

An allegedly "safeguard from fraudulent behaviour" is a cheap excuse for a "3 player minimum [...] quota for first payment" with respect to revenue share in my opinion.

Obviously your program has massive problems with "fraudulent behaviour", which has always a reason. Interesting is, many others don't have that problems and not that kind of solution, because until now many programs never thought about such quotas and are still successful since years.

    I wish you good luck.
    I said my opinion.
The GPWA overview website is updated, which is the most important thing.
    Good luck!
