Who is best Pinterest or Instagram
Instagram, #gamblingjoe
I vote Pinterest. Easier to use.
And i'd say generates more traffic.

I think Instagram because it is more popular.

Personally I prefer instagram. I've never really loved pinterest enough to carry on with it.

I wondered this as well. I don't have either, but think I am behind the times on this one!
Looks like so far, instagram is the most popular with people

Marketing wise, I don't think Instagram does too much, but it is fun and it's on your phone so you can sit and play around with it without thinking too much.
I have to disagree somewhat on that from personal experience.
I use it a lot for my fitness stuff. It's good for getting your name out there and promoting stuff.
I often come across fashion and stuff like that which they list the website in the comments and I do go and check it out. That is just one example of course.

I've had better results with pinterest.

I prefer instagram, I use it a lot for my blogs and it works well. It's handy that you can connect it with twitter/facebook/tumbler etc but like Louie says it works better for sports/fashion/beauty etc.
I've also heard pinterest is good for traffic but I've never got that into it myself just a few small tests here and there. All depends on who you want to target I guess.

I personally Like pinterest because i can use it on my pc

That is one con about instagram. But I guess the app is all about photos and the main idea is people taking photos while they are out and about or of cool things, so I suppose it makes sense that they don't have one for PC. Personally I find the pinterest app a bit hard to use. Likely because i'm not used to it though.
I'd like to just derail for a minute and say that my day was made yesterday when Optimum Nutrition liked one of my fitness photos on instagram.
Little things, right?
[ For those who don't know, Optimum Nutrition, aka ON, are one of the biggest fitness supplement makers in the world and I use their products. ]

I find Pinterest better in terms of traffic generation. Studies show that ecommerce sites especially on fashion and beauty industries benefit more from Pinterest...and it's more used by women. Instagram is more personal and fun and most likely a better tool for branding.

Instagram is the best for me.
I use neither of these sites, but I will register there soon. Does anyone use flickr? Does it generate any traffic?
distinctively pinterest.... is better for marketting..
Instagram is awesome, and it provides much bigger reach at our audience than Pinterest, as I think. But the only annoying thing is that I can't put active links in the posts' descriptions: if I have to address visitors to some article at my website – they have to follow a long and adventurous path of typing the link manually or looking it up at my website themselves. It's a bit too much minimalistic, as for me
I like Pinterest much better

Pinterest is the way to go for our niche. Instagram is great but I only use it for fun.
