Hi Lawrence,

This is a friendly discussion on the High Roller Term at Playshare.

To let you know, I had brought it up in the private affiliate section here. There is positive feedback on this term. It is fair. There is, however, a couple of things I would like to address. I had written you several times but I think there is a spam problem on one end or the other. I did not receive a reply.

Here are the terms:

Quote:
9. High-Roller Policy
In any given month, if an individual player generates a negative net win of at least $10,000 ('high-roller'), and the aggregate net win in that month (for the casino) for that affiliate is negative, then the high-roller policy will apply.
If both of the above criteria are met (see point I) then the negative net win generated by the high-roller will be carried forward and offset against future net win generated by that high-roller.
The negative balance carried forward cannot be set-off against other players' net win.
If there is more than one high-roller, the negative balance carried forward will be split proportionally between them.
The negative balance of a high-roller will be reduced by future positive net win that they generate in subsequent months. The high-roller will continue like this until the total net win has been zeroed then the player shall return to the affiliate account.
Affiliates who have qualifying high-rollers on their account will be notified at the beginning of the following month.
Progressive wins do not affect the High-Roller Policy as this payout is taken from the Progressive Prize Pool.

This applies to all affiliates on Revenue Share or Hybrid Deals only.

According to the helpful folks at Guard Dog (I hope they don't mind me quoting), the other programs who enact this term are:

Quote:
1. Star Partner
2. Mainstreet Affiliates
3. Wagershare

Of course..

1. Playshare
2. G3 Partner
3. Players Palace Affiliates
4. Commission Warehouse

As you can see, not many do this. I do understand it however. I think it's fair. I have Casino Share banners on most every page. I have enjoyed the benefits of using your program.

There are a couple of outstanding questions that someone else brought up that I must agree with. I will get right to the point:

Quote:
#1 The first 10k of any win should not carry over.

#2 The policy should also apply to the month it occured in.

I was told that I would not get paid for other players in the month the win occured in. It was only going forward. So I lost out on my other players the month the 'high roller' hit at the same time Playshare enacted the high roller rule. It doesn't seem right somehow. How can you have it both ways? I discussed it with other affs and sought advice but it is flawed IMHO.

Also, am I paying back the whole win or is the first 10k forgiven like the rest of the months that I don't have a big win.

The majority of Microgaming Affiliate Programs do not have this rule whatsoever. In fact, the overall bottom line does not factor in as we all know that over the year this kind of thing is recovered through wins and losses.

I feel this hurts the affiliate and would like your feedback on it.

I want to note that many affiliates do not feel the way I do and feel it is ok.

Thank you Lawrence for listening. The questions are very specific that I have.
