The streets are litteraly cluttered by street hawkers and fun fairs have been set up nearly everywhere so that people can shop late into the night. A good number of concerts are organised by local artists that people can attend free of charge.
Many people choose to go camping for a few days and set up their tents at the beach.
And of course there are the traditional exchange of presents, christmas trees, etc and visits to relatives for dinner and drinks.
