    Default section 7.2.5

    Dear 888,

I'm responding to you in regards to the email you sent us about section 7.2.5 of your terms and conditions. In this email, you have explained that our account is considered an inactive account and that if you do not hear from us within 14 days, you will retain the 'Inactive Account Fee" and after 45 days, you'll keep all that the account has earned.

I'm going to point you to section 1.1 of my terms and conditions, which state that your affiliate program should really answer emails. Many months ago - we emailed you saying that our user name-password combination was not working and that we'd like it reset and we'd also like our affiliate manager to contact us. Since that email, this is the first we've heard from you.

If this email is an attempt by you to feel like you're reaching out before you steal from us --- please quit worrying. You should be able to sleep just fine if you fluff your pillow. If you are sending us this less than personal email because you're trying to start a dialogue, you might want to brush up on how to better interact with other people.

Finally, I have to add that the greeting of your email really shows how close to having your **** together your program is... pay careful attention --- if you're going to send a threatening letter where you're trying to legally justify being a thief --- at least get your victim's name correct.

    Have a great day,

    -Shay-

    Hi Shay,

The wrong names on the emails sent out to affiliates were indeed a mistake in some cases, apologies for that.

As for the essence of the email, we're urging affiliates to log in to their accounts with us after they haven't done so for a very long time, so they can get their unclaimed balance if there is any.
Can't really see how that's wrong, but I guess you can find something wrong in everything if you try hard enough.

As for your personal account, I'll be glad to assist if you send me your account name with us.

    Thanks,

That's bollox Nadav, if that was the case you'd send out an email simply asking people to login to their account and claim their unclaimed balances. I guess you can attempt to put a positive spin on anything.

I got this email too, I logged in a few days ago?
Is this to get us to accept the new T&CS?

If the essence of the email is getting people to claim their balance, then the delivery (starting with the greeting and right through to the body of the message) is where the problem continuously exists.

Thank you Shay for sharing this email faux pas.

    It's like a madhouse.

    The "5% program".

Many webmasters have to live with 5% commission, but program professionalism stagnates also at 5% level.

    Hi,

freebetking, the purpose of the email is to get affiliates who have not logged in or been in touch with us for a long time, to log in so they can claim unpaid balances and hopefully get back in touch with us.
Phrasing could have been done in a more gentle manner I guess, but the email had to be phrased by our legal team as it concerns our T&Cs.

Affiliates who received it don't have to follow it, it's a suggestion, and following it will be beneficial to affiliates.

deanimus, if you wish to work with us and get paid, you will have to accept our T&Cs anyway, so no, this was not the purpose of this email.

Roulette Zeitung, the news of our offices in Manila have nothing to do with affiliates, and will not damage payments, support or anything else that concerns affiliates.
The news were made public yesterday, as we have to report such incidents to our investors, you can see it on the William Hill PLC site here (under Operational Update):
    https://www.williamhillplc.com/invest...tory-news.aspx

In the Philippines, William Hill is a member of the Government-run PEZA scheme (Philippine Economic Zone Authority) and complies with local laws and global policies.
William Hill has also implemented business continuity measures to provide cover for key operational services provided by our Manila operation and is working over the short term to ensure that all services are covered to our normal standard.

    Thanks,

"the news of our offices in Manila have nothing to do with affiliates, and will not damage payments, support or anything else that concerns affiliates."

No? The brand have nothing to with the program, with affiliates, who have to promote exactly this brand?

As long as the remaining webmaster have to promote an unserious brand (https://www.active-income.com/forum/why-you-s...tml#post763613), all webmaster have the right to be informed about EVERY DETAIL, that have to do with the brand (e.g. William Hill), because we are not living in North Korea.

Or are you looking for a new rule, that only brand information should be open for the readers, that are very complimentary to you?

Brand = Program and Program = Brand!

"Phrasing could have been done in a more gentle manner I guess, but the email had to be phrased by our legal team as it concerns our T&Cs."

Sorry, but if I read things like "legal team" ... You and I, we know exactly, that this ...............

If the webmasters would know, what kind of people are behind the so called "legal departments" in some program offices, they can't stop laughing.

As long as you continue to accumulate wealth at the expense of webmasters, you have to live with it, that obviously no one will give you one single nice word anymore.

The ability of the Platinum sponsor fee to help is also restricted.

Perhaps you should sent out a 5% Christmas bonus to all your webmasters in December with a letter of apology.

This would be the first time, especially for small webmasters, to receive an email from Affiliates United without anger after reading this year.

The news of the Manila office went on the PLC site, you can't go more public than that with informing the public and webmasters.
It did not go on affutd.com because it has nothing to do with affutd.com performance.
Support for affutd sits in our Sofia office, and the payments/deal setup teams from Manila are working as usual.

I don't see a reason to go into the 5% clause again, I have stated on more than one occasion that this is a flexible clause and we have demonstrated that to the affiliates who communicated with us, big or small ones.

You made your own choice to not work with us an use every chance you get to have a go at us, that's fine and is of course your right, just understand that many many others choose differently for very good reasons.

    Thanks,

"It did not go on affutd.com because it has nothing to do with affutd.com performance."

You don't understand the crux of the matter. Perhaps that is the reason, why you treat some webmasters like...

    Brand = Program
    Program = Brand

You know, what a symbiosis is?

As long as "William Hill" is printed on any news or reviews, no matter where or why, it's also interesting for webmasters, because they should know, what kind of brand they are promoting. They are promoting the brand!

Another recent example from the last 117 days (Review headlines about William Hill):

    "Takes money without permission!!"
    "horror"
    "Absolute Joke"
"CASHOUT CON OVER 82 GAMES AND I HAVE PHOTO'S TOO"
    "legalized robbery"
"No respect for identity theft awareness"
    "Infuriating"
    "DISGUSTING RIP OFF IDIOTS"
    "SCAMMING THIEVES"
"never ever ever trust the william hill inplay scores
    "

    Source: https://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/williamhill.com

O.k. you can say, that are individual or faked opinions, but if so, there must be a reason for it, that so much reviews are online.
You can play the same record again or say, that the brand have nothing to do with the program.

So forced terms and conditions so if you don't login to accept them your account just gets closed?

    Hi,

Your account will not be closed if you don't approve our T&Cs, but you will not be able to access it.

It's nothing different than any other brand, the only difference is that we make sure the affiliate is aware of the T&Cs and not just signing up without knowing what he's signing up for.
When you sign up to any brand you have to work in accordance to their T&Cs, whether they make you approve it or not, you work based on the terms anyway.

    Thanks,
