    https://www.google.com/search?q=blackjack+sites
    https://www.google.com/search?q=real+money+online
    https://www.google.com/search?q=online+gambling+sites

I guess this sort of buying Google search engine space will continue until consumers vote with their eyeballs and use other search engines instead.

Only a mass movement away from sponsored results will change Google's approach - they are only interested in eyeballs and associated revenues.

Hi It's more all these Sponsored posts I am worried about. They buy them on sites like OutlookIndia for 1000-3000$, and it immediately ranks in Google on a lot of top keywords cause the site posting them has such high authority.

    Some examples hxxps://www.outlookindia -.com/outlook-spotlight/best-gambling-sites-news-278447
    hxxps://www.miamiherald -.com/betting/casinos/article259183883.html
    hxxps://www.timesunion -.com/marketplace/article/best-online-casinos-16720582.php
    hxxps://www.sfgate -.com/market/article/best-online-casino-sites-16927287.php
    hxxps://www.kshb -.com/brand-spotlight/best-online-casinos/
    hxxps://www.outlookindia -.com/outlook-spotlight/best-gambling-sites-news-278447
    hxxps://www.orlandomagazine -.com/best-online-casinos/

Tons of them and on all top keywords

You can see there just tons of them on each of these above sites, and they taking over google:

I also noticed when google search results are presented, you have to scroll a long way down to find the organic search results. Sponsored google results are becoming more important vs organic as time goes on...

Or build your own incredibly high authority mainstream site... that's something I've been wondering about recently.
onlinegamblingwebsites.com - Formally known as goodbonusguide.

Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding on Dan - see the list here. Prices negotiable, and willing to swap for decent links.

To be honest, depending on the GEO and the KWs you are planning to target - you don't always need to pay a lot for these kind of posts.
In some cases you can get a post published on a high authority website and get it to #1 - #3 for under $300.

I have noticed this for a while. I am not sure if big names like Miami Herald were doing affiliate marketing or selling guest posts.

Because that's not the price. Anyone and their mother can spare a 1000$ and get a post. As you can see it's one per site and the post goes to the highest bidder. The highest bid is north of 20k. There's a reason why only a few companies can afford to get into it. It's not a secret either, you can ask them.

I reached out to a few of them and the lowest price i was offered was $26,000. For 5k i would take a shot, but not for 26k

Yup, and it keeps growing as the demand is huge.

Some of these - The Sun, Miami Herald, Telegraph, Independent - are not just guest posts. Those sites have built bona fide betting zones and are now affiliates, albeit in some cases in partnership with big gambling affiliates like Gambling.com or BettingExpert. They now have very high authority domain + expert content - can't see those going anywhere anytime soon.

With cases like this, I understand more and more that you shouldn't rely on SEO traffic only nowadays. Look for alternative traffic sources. It will become worse every year.

Yes, Gambling.com cut a deal with Gannett Media (USA Today, Miami Herald, etc), and the Independent to provide gambling content to their sites.

So it's not Miami Herald that's the affiliate. They are simply renting space to Gambling.com. Apparently these news sites don't need to be licensed if they are merely referring traffic to an "affiliate partner".

None of us will get sponsored posts on those sites unless you can offer more than Gambling.com, and are willing to sign a long-term contract for many millions dollars.

However, it may be possible to get sponsored posts in smaller markets for less competitive terms.

I agree with others: The fact that Google allows this is blatant hypocrisy. Moreover, these news sites really don't offer much of value beyond a list of sites, bonuses, and common advice about playing responsibly.

If it's any consolation, they've managed to outrank their own (many) portal sites. So a bit of a loss on those + the monthly rent.

Posts like that might not last. But I think where a national newspaper builds out its own betting zone like this - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/betting/ - might be a different story, even if it is a content partnership with a big affiliate company. Those mensjournal / outlook india etc. posts might lose their rankings but the telegraph / sun / independent stuff might well stick around. But who knows?

Whichever way it's dressed up, the SERPs are being gamed and for the integrity of their product Google should do something about it.
