10. DIXON vs. Chelsea
This is probably Dixon’s second most impressive goal, but his best at the right end. He’ll always be remembered for that exquisite chip over David Seaman against Coventry, but it’s not really fair to be putting own goals in the list. This goal against Chelsea was, while not quite as spectacular, still pretty special.

9. KOLAROV vs. Sunderland
A great finish, no doubt, but there’s much more to this goal than meets the eye. With just 5 minutes to go in the game City were 2-3 down, but Kolarov’s strike earned them a point that, come the end of the season, proved to be incredibly important. City and Manchester United ended the season equal on points but, had this not gone in, then the outcome of the league could have been very different.

8. IVANOVIC vs. Man City
Ivanovic is one of the best defenders to have graced the Premier League in the last decade, and he’s not bad at the other end either. He’s not averse to taking the odd free kick, but this tidy finish away at the Etihad is perhaps his finest strike to date.

7. IRWIN vs. Wimbledon
The finish itself is tidy enough, but it’s the teamwork that makes this goal special. Irwin, one of the Premier League’s pioneering wing backs, scored this goal to conclude a calm and patient attack which typified United’s style of play throughout the 90s.

6. CARR vs. Manchester United
Stephen Carr scored a number of fantastic goals during his career, including a lovely lob against Sunderland when playing for Spurs, but this long range drive against Manchester United is arguably his best. Not bad for a right back!
