Default Very Smart Move from Quasar

The most perverse decision I've seen in this business from an complete Ass**** Company :

We regret to inform you that following recent management decisions and also with reference to the Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions, Quasar Limited is ceasing it's Affiliate Programs in a number of territories.

Due to the uncertain nature of the regulatory framework in certain territories in relation to online gambling, we no longer feel that operating the Affiliate Programme for a number of markets is a viable one.

    - You will no longer be able to refer any players or earn commissions on payments pertaining to players referred to from the updated restricted territories as from 1st September 2018.

    - Your final payments pertaining to territories which are now restricted, will still be payable until then. After September 1st, you will no longer be able to receive commissions from activity generated in restricted territories.

Please find the the list of restricted territories for the Affiliate Program, under Appendix I - Restricted Territories within your respective login site.

Your account is deemed to be significantly impacted by these changes. We therefore wish to refer to, but not limit ourselves to the following clauses which are listed below for your attention.

    1. Agreement

1.2 Quasargaming.com reserves the right to update or modify this Agreement and any appendices attached thereto as it may deem appropriate. The version posted on the Quasaraffiliates.com website shall be the effective version, and that which Affiliates should use as reference. It is your responsibility to inform yourself regarding the Agreement, as well as to familiarize yourself with the modifications that may affect you. For this purpose, Affiliates are advised to read the Agreement from time to time.

In the event that changes of a substantial nature are made to the Agreement, Quasargaming.com may, but is not obliged to, inform the Affiliate of these changes.

If any modification to this Agreement is unacceptable to the Affiliate, the Affiliate's only recourse against Quasargaming.com is to terminate its participation in the Affiliate Program.

The Affiliate's continued (i) participation in the Affiliate Program, (ii) use of the Quasargaming.com Affiliate website and/or Marketing Tools, or (iii) acceptance of any Affiliate commissions from Quasargaming.comconfirms the Affiliate's irrevocable acceptance of this Agreement (and any modifications thereto).

    11. Term & Termination

11.1 The agreement can be terminated by either party at any time with immediate effect without giving any prior notice and without giving a reason. In any case Quasargaming.com terminates the Agreement, if the Affiliate violated essential obligations of this Agreement or the execution of this Agreement is not permitted by law or has become inadmissible. Quasargaming.com's e-mail for notification purposes is: [email protected] and Affiliate's e-mail address for notification purposes is as shown in the Affiliate's account at the time of notification. For the avoidance of doubt, this Agreement and the Affiliate Account shall terminate immediately upon the decease of the relevant Affiliate and no further payments shall be due by Quasargaming.com in respect of such Affiliate Account.

Whilst regretting the latest developments, we wish to underline that Quasar Limited has always been and remains committed to operating, whilst prudently in observance of all applicable laws.

THEFT - The least they can do is keep paying out on referred customers prior to the very short notice date. I could understand if they were pulling out of the said countries altogether but this is clearly not the case as it only applies to the affiliate program.

Have I mentioned before I f*cking hate T&C's (worthless to affiliates)
BettingOffers.bet - Latest offers and bonuses from reputable UK bookmakers. A New project underway but a long way to go Bookie Rewards

Exactly! If they left these countries completely, i could understand it. But now there is only one goal, to put the money completely into the own pocket. Absolutely dubious and unethical company

Yes, agreed it is theft and endemic within the industry. I've also had similar done to me where essentially they are saying thanks for the free referrals good luck with us paying you.

However, as most of these companies are so disorganised I'm hoping some come back to me wanting to be on a site in the future, which gives you the upper hand - do it my way or no chance and I want paying upfront due to past unethical behaviour.

It is nice that they did not forget to put "Vatican City State" on the list.

I wonder what countries aren't on the list. India and China? Do they expect to convert there?

I assume their strongest market is Germany and maybe Scandinavia.
Now they stole revshare commission from everyone. And in the end, they'll go down, same as Mybet just did last week.

And Ovoaffiliates.com (same Company Quasar Limited) makes the same! The scammers steal the affiliates' revenues, let the players continue playing and at the end of the day the scammers have their pockets significantly fuller

    Yes Germany,but not really Scandinavia....but...
The Cash Cow "Greentube alias Novoline" leave this market end of the last year...best software for this market.

I actually thought that this provider go down, and remove all links months ago...
But now, this brand found a way to compensate the loss...

I think this brand will leave some markets like spintastic and Viks.

Wonderful markets like Syria, Iraq, North Korea or Haiti. Perhaps some penguins at the South Pole can get a commission.

The action is awful and the way they present it is even more.

Still curious who's behind this clipjoint. Same tossers as OVO, but what else...

That's unheard of. If you make commissions on referred players from wherever they are in the world, then you should get paid on those players. It's as simple as that.

If he GPWA Code of Conduct would not be such a staged lip-service, the sponsorship of this bunch of pickpockets must be terminated or at least hit with an infraction slap due to the new installed "ethic" rule in that code, because this is a clear case of "Sponsor Companies will not use unethical methods of promotion".

The rule was installed because of the hacking issues after massive public pressure and the Buffalo disaster, but if a program animates webmaster to promote in country X, and after enough players are acquired, the revenue share from X is at once void and invalid, then the program's self-promotion itself is an "unethical" method of promotion.

I never liked them, caught them red-handed in the hacker case, also while practicing black hat seo at the expense of the webmasters, and they never had a positive aura in my opinion.

A new wave of collapsing cloud castles.

And obviously the representatives are too stupid to think about their future.

Do you really want to make business again with anyone, working for Quasar, in the future?
    As if nothing happened?
Can you ever again believe one word from them?
    Trust them?
    One word?!

No, in my opinion, with the exception, that they - like Carmel did - refuse being a part of a crooked company.

I have really no mercy for such people anymore.

Normally you can't trust anymore but what should the small employees do where worked for those companies ? They must play the game

Contractually they are obliged and they will also animated in certain cases to say the untruth or to deliberately lie to it's partners that's not new in this business.

It's difficult say to trust those persons again if they have worked for companies like this one before.

In the end, they are just as affected we are and leave the company voluntarily or stay until the bitter end.

Many of them must search then for a new job and hopefully will find in better companies with more ethical behavior and responsibility.

Unfortunately, employees have 2 choices to choose from in cases like this - 1 push the employer's agenda and hope the backlash will not be too bad or 2 refuse to be part of this sort of thing and go their own way. I can confirm myself, as Lionel knows too, that it's not an easy choice to make for an Affiliate Manager. We realise when management decisions are made with the only intention to screw affiliates, and most of the time have no say in these decisions, but its not that easy either to just walk away from a relatively good paying job, on a matter of principle, without having another alternative especially if one has a family and many other commitments.

To be fair a decent human being, a professional and a person with high morals has only 1 option and you know what it is. Every other bs excuse is just that an excuse.

Don't forget that a program that has no problems screwing over affiliates, will have no problem to screw over their own employees. And if you chose to stay, your reputation is now tarnished and it's very unlikely for anyone to take you seriously no matter where you go afterwards.

Affiliates have families and a life too you know. And we have to explain why now a bunch of important life events have to be postponed.

    I agree with this.

The excuses that affiliate managers working for a clip-joint program are having a family makes no sense. Thieves stealing wallets of old people are having families too. Or people breaking into other people's houses and steal valuable items. They're having a family too. Programs stealing and their employees are exactly at the same level as these examples.

Also, it's a bit a circle. Some affiliate managers switch from (relatively) honest programs to other (relatively) honest programs. Others are jumping from one dodgy program to the other program. Sometimes the name of the affiliate manager is already a red flag for a new program.

The problem is that they get away with it. Time after time. Super affiliates are having their own contract, the rest of the landscape is small and unorganized. And employees of rogue programs are getting new jobs within the industry. Etc.

But in the end, nothing more will happen than some threads at forums. Just like when Sky Bet pulled out, etc.
