Anyone into VPN affiliate programs? Share your experience and results.

As you can easily see, there is lots of competition when it comes to SEO.
So unless you have a specific audience, I personally wouldn't try it.

This is true for almost any niche. I was rather interested in earnings potential, how good is traffic converting, etc.

Yes and no. My point was that even really big websites have very strong articles on VPNs. Also, nowadays there are various free options or you can just get a free trial. Plus, even if you get a person to make a purchase, you won't get anything from that person until the plan expires and even then it is very unlikely that he will continue paying.

So I would only start this if I had a target market which is really into VPNs. For example, BlackHatWorld forum visitors would be a perfect audience, but most other websites won't be. NordVpn is offering great commissions up to 40%, but most other brands aren't that generous.

Had this set up for a short while many years ago. Very niche audience.

The commissions were **** compared to gambling affiliation so we decided it was not worth the effort to pursue.

In my own experience, there is a BIG difference in the reliability of VPNs depending on if it's a free app or a paid service. Paid always works properly, free does 'most' of the time but rarely gets it right for certain countries. So yeah, there's a market for paid VPN (and free) comparisons and I'd be a potential user/customer, especially if I believed the review to be genuine and informed and not just hype to convert the highest paying CPA to the affy.

But from what others have posted, it's a crowded market. Well, sod it. So is online casinos. Make your site better than the rest.

I tried it, got nothing.

Bigger picture: how much is gambling market vs VPN market worldwide? 10000:1 or 100000:1? So the very best VPN affiliate hopefully gets as much as very, very small gambling affiliate. The competition to be on the top will be much smaller, but thanks, no. There must be better affiliate niches (like travel and it is still not good enough).

Some of the commission generated can be seen as crazy, certain brands will pay CPA only, but with this you can find say ?00 CPA and more.

Brands out of UK can pay a rev share.

If you get on a good deal you can make some serious money I believe.

a vpn costs like 5bucks a month if you shop around. I doubt there is any profit to be made here srlsy.

edit: my missus uses this one purevpn.com - pretty sure it costs like $5 a month.

Please ignore this I completely misread the initial thread. I agree with Sherlock, the amount of revenue generated using this things is poor.

Yes, It is good to start VPN Affiliates it has high low medium conversion but competition is low so you can go for it.

As I know the VPN market is very big and the competition is crazy, there are so many different services, to make money from it you need to gather an audience, to switch to you. You need a person who can even sell air.

I have same experince it is not worth it

Rakuten has a bunch of VPN programs under them and their platform is pretty solid in my opinion.
