Hi Amy

I've been looking at your program and would like to begin promoting your brands... BUT... when looking at payment options for Canadian and American affiliates, the options are very limited. I hate going the wire route due to the higher threshold. Do you have a cheque option for us Canadians?

Why are Canadians not permitted to use Paypal or Moneybookers?

I hope we can find a suitable alternative as I would love to add another Playtech option to my sites.

Hi Terry

It is true that payment options to Canadians and US webmasters are limited . This unfortunately is dictated to a large extent by the E processors and banks and the type of business that we run.

As we are purely a gambling concern all of the E Wallets and Banks presumably know that any payments we make are related to gambling so in Moneybookers and Paypals case they would simply shut down the accounts as far as i am aware if we made payments to North American webmasters via these methods.

Sending Cheques in the past has also proven to be highly frustrating and a very expensive option and again i think that we are limited by the banks that we deal with.

The whole making of payments and processing side is a bit of a enigma to us - it is run by the Finance guys and they simply advise us as to what is and what is not possible. We do try and offer as many options as possible but in the current legal climate some options are not available. Hopefully this will not be the case for too much longer . What with legislation starting to happen in NJ - lets hope that some more cracks start appearing and our industry can return to business as normal some day.

We would love to have you on board promoting us more regularily so if you have any info that you can forward to us re payment methods for the North America region we will gladly look at it.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Regarding Moneybookers, I know other programs pay Canadians using that method so I was a bit surprised when I saw we were excluded on your site.

There are some programs that actually pay directly to credit card as well. I receive payment regularly from Betway via my Visa card.

Failing all else, what about depositing directly to a player account so the funds can be withdrawn via one of the methods offered to players? Do your casinos offer Canadian players Instadebit as an option? It's how I get paid from one of the major poker rooms. I love it. The cost is minimal and they pay within a couple of days, directly into my bank account.

I will be taking this up with the Finance guys right now and will get back to you with feedback. If others are doing it via Moneybookers they might be doing it via another route but i will find out.
Putting into player accounts and having it withdrawn from there should be no major issue and hopefully that is the case for MB as well.

I know that we used to be able to make payment via CC and will find out if that is still an option

I have got news back from our Finance guys re the payment methods and the news is good for Canadian Webmasters. For US webmasters unfortunately not so good which is a pain.
Because of the legal situation in the USA, Wire remains the only viable option at the moment.

I do apologise to our partners in the US . If there was a way around this we would use it.

For Canadian we can offer the following :

MoneyBookers
Instadebit
Credit Card Refunding - Visa only
Refunding to Player Account.

We will update the WJ site with the options so that everyone is aware.
