What did you do over the weekend?

Hi Guys,

I had the most amazing weekend and I wanted to share it with you

I ticked one of the items from my bucket list!!!! If you were ever planning to go rock climbing and felt not sure about it, I would just say to you JUST DO IT because is bloody amazing.

It’s not very flattering, but once you are one with the rock you don’t really care.

Wow - thats great! I've never thought about rock climbing seriously but I do want to sky dive.

I agree with you it is amazing - many years ago I did the same thing one time, so it brings back memories. Definitely exhilarating if you don't like heights (which is the case for me).

I am afraid of heights so I don’t I think I would dare try that, but then again you never know LOL

With these types of sports you have to concentrate so much that you forget about any troubles or worries you may have.

Michael, be sure to ride the Tower of Terror at MGM Studios if you ever get to Central Florida.

The elevator takes you to the top and the doors open giving you a very brief look out accross the park from pretty high up, of course this is right before the elevator falls, so the first time you ride it, it gives you a very brief sense of security right before you think you're not gonna make it when the bottom seems to fall out from under you and you experience that brief sense of weightlessness.

I have never tried rock climbing but it does look fun.

Good on you Maria! Rock climbing is hard work but so much fun!

Rick I love those kind of rides. The falling sensation is my favourite feeling in the world, but I could never skydive or anything like that, that would involve no strings holding me and preventing me from falling to my death. I'm a bit of a chicken like that

I don't think I will ever do that.

I did some kind of hanging bridge once. The kind that has only 1 bar every meter or something, nothing around you just looking down. I was so happy when I was at the other end

I know you are safe with the strings they attach to you, but it is scary when you just walk in the air, if you look for the next bar you always see the big emptiness below you.

I think the handing bridge sound scarier than the rock climbing. There was a guy by the river near us that was going to start walking on strings without safety net, which looked crazy scary to me.

It's never really occurred to me to go rock climbing, but it actually sounds pretty cool - might have to give it a go one day. There's a climbing wall down the road from my house, so that could provide a good taster session.

My weekend wasn't quite so healthy and out-doorsy as yours though - spent it eating italian ice cream cake (which, interestingly, doesn't contain cake) and hanging out in a 1920's prohibition bar - which was accessed through a secret door in a bookcase of a fake detective agency.

Your weekend also sounds interesting. Did you have to dress up like you were from the 1920's? if so let us see a picture jeje

I went to a 2 year old's birthday party on Sunday morning. May as well have been walking on strings with no net. It is the same feeling.
