    Default Yahoo finance non-gamstop post

Anyone fancy reporting this to the ASA & UKGC: httpx://finance.yahoo.com/news/best-casinos-not-gamstop-ranked-150500420.html

    And this: httpx://finance.yahoo.com/news/29-best-casinos-not-gamstop-200900482.html

I'm aware it's syndicated content, but that doesn't excuse it. This showed up for me in google news so they have huge reach with it, even for people not searching for anything to do with non-gamstop casinos.

    Good catch.

Guessing the opinions might be somewhat split on this, but how do others feel whether the operators promoted on such pages should get a small warning.

I totally agree that these are affiliates taking these actions and the operators are not directly responsible, but surely they could at least "warn" their affiliates not to engage in such practices.

/side note in the first example appears on the surface the bad actor is hxxps://cryptopro.care as all the affy links redirect from there and in the 2nd example the 2 affiliate links are direct to the operator with tags.

There’s no grey area here though, Rick. Gamstop is a UK thing and all UK licensed casino must be registered with gamstop. Any non gamstop registered casino that accepts UK players is illegal in the UK, and the UKGC have (finally) started taking enforcement action.

The bigger point, however, is that Yahoo finance are promoting illegal casinos to the UK. Regardless of your feelings on the UKGC, Gamstop and offshore casinos, what Yahoo is doing is actually illegal in the UK. Which is crazy to think that it’s coming from a site like Yahoo.

But the fact that they’re a big name authority site doesn’t give them carte blanche to do whatever they want.
